A patient man has great understanding,
but a quick-tempered man displays
folly.
The fear of Yahuah is a fountain of life,
turning a man from the snares of
death.
All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty.
The faithless will be fully repaid for their
ways,
and the good man rewarded for his.
The wisdom of the prudent is to give
thought to their ways,
but the folly of fools is deception.
He who spares the rod hates his son,
but he who loves him is careful to
discipline him.
A good man leaves an inheritance for
his children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for
the righteous.
Diligent hands will rule,
but laziness ends in slave labor.
